The absolute highlight is the award for Best Imperial Stout and Best Stout & Porter in the WORLD for our collaboration brew Weiherer / Cervejaria Bamberg Zapfenduster. We are truly speechless...
The World Beer Award is a prestigious international tasting competition that honors the best beers worldwide across all internationally recognized beer styles. First, the national winner in each category is determined, followed by the selection of the international champions in the second round. An international jury of beer experts evaluates the beers in Norwich, England. More than 3,000 beers from 55 different countries take part. The final round took place on August 8th, and in addition to the incredible award for our Zapfenduster, two national winners are particularly noteworthy: our Weiherer Schwärzla was named Best German Stout, and our Weiherer Doppelbock rum barrel-aged was named Best German barrel-aged beer. It's just unbelievable. We are overjoyed by these awards and say a huge THANK YOU to our entire brewery team. Without you, this wouldn't be possible - you are simply THE BEST!
