Because beer tells stories. The Weiherer Zapfenduster Imperial Stout Barrel-Aged is a beer specialty for the warming moments in life. This special brew aged for seven months in a French oak barrel, resulting in an exceptional beer where the intense woody notes of the barrel meet the roasty yet velvety character of the Imperial Stout.
Alcohol content: 7.8%
Original gravity: 19.9%
Hops: East Kent Golding, Fuggles
Malts: Pilsner, Special W, Munich Type 2, Carafa Type 2, Carabelge
Highlights: 2024 World Beer Award Silver, World Beer Award Gold 2021. The foundation of this beer specialty is the collaboration brew with Brazilian brewer Alexandre Bazzo of Cervejaria Bamberg, which won the 2020 International Craft Beer Award Gold.
Available in a 0.75 l Champagne bottle.

Since 2020, we have been brewing in our new, energy-efficient and innovative 60 hl 5-vessel brewhouse (1 hl = 100 liters) from Kaspar Schulz, Bamberg. Alongside master brewer Roland Kundmüller, our brewers take careful care of Weiher beer every day. And that is also necessary: Because brewing is a complex process.
